Residential Treatment at Living Hope

Living Hope’s residential treatment center in Norman, OK, offers an advanced level of care with nursing staff on-site 24/7, providing support and monitoring for the patients. Once admitted, patients live at our facility and receive a personalized treatment plan that is created based on their individual needs. Group sessions will be held 6-8 hours per day and patients will also attend 5-6 individual sessions with their treatment team per week. Care is available to all genders 13 and up.

Our residential treatment center is a small, 12 bed facility tucked back in the trees on a gorgeous 15-acre property. Inside it is updated and beautiful, creating a cozy and comfortable environment to help our patients feel at home.

What Living Hope's Residential Treatment Center Offers:

A personalized treatment plan which includes medical monitoring by Dr. Scears and her nursing staff, psychiatric care, individual and group therapy, individual dietetic sessions as well as supervised meals and snacks. The plans are created and managed by Dr. Scears and the patient’s assigned treatment team. The residential level of care is designed to provide patients with care at a higher intensity and allow them to focus on working towards a lasting recovery.

Each patient also receives:

  • Two to three therapy sessions per week

  • One dietetic session per week

  • One medical evaluation with the Medical Director per week

  • One psychiatric evaluation per week

  • 24/7 Monitoring including 24-hour nursing

  • Individualized weekly treatment plan

  • Daily monitored blind weight and vital signs

  • Art therapy

  • Staff-supported meals and snacks with post-meal processing

  • Level system based on treatment compliance and goals met which allow for patients to develop autonomy and skills through outings, challenges and self-portioning meals and snacks

  • Allotted visiting hours on the weekends

  • Family Day once per month

  • Family therapy as appropriate on a case by case basis.

What To Expect

Planning for an admission to treatment can be challenging. Our team is here to help ease some of that stress and will do our best to make the day as smooth a transition as possible for you and your family.

Before arriving at Living Hope Eating Disorder Treatment center, our intake staff will provide you with a packing guide and an agenda for admission day as well as answer any questions you may have.

When you arrive at Living Hope on admission day, our intake and administrative staff will be there to greet you and your family and provide assistance through each part of the admissions process.

The admission process can last anywhere from 3-4 hours depending on the level of care for which you will be treated. This time will consist of completing all necessary clinical and financial paperwork and meeting with your assigned treatment team. A member of our clinical team will also be available to meet with your family or loved ones when appropriate. If you are beginning residential treatment with Living Hope, we will provide transportation for you to our residential treatment center and your family may accompany you to see the facilities.
